Damian Sam Guest mix on Cali’s ✯ House Nation Radio

So happy to have my bro Phoenix unveil his new underground/Tech House Alias as Damian Sam.  Jonathan Sam, known as Phoenix, was born and raised on the tropical island of Sri Lanka. His father, also a DJ, inspired him to learn to mix at the very young age of 12.  He played his first event in Sri Lanka when he was 14 and has been performing ever since. Shortly after he moved to Los Angeles, California he redirected his focus towards playing house music. From California to Nevada, Phoenix has made a name for himself performing at large scale venues such as Exchange LA, Avalon Hollywood, Academy, and Pattern Bar.  One of Phoenix’s latest projects include doing A&R work for a  fast growing label in Los Angeles, Tech Avenue Records. He is also in the process of releasing Music under a new Alias  “Damian Sam”. Damian Sam maintains a close connection with all of his supporters, and he’s well known for setting proper vibes suited for every event. A skilled creative DJ with a distinct sound, Damian Sam is on a steady pace to play at a club near you. He thrives to reach new heights while gaining recognition and impacting the house music community in his own way.  “Family, friends and music is what my life revolves around. It’s not the size of the crowd that matters, but rather curating a genuine connection with people. That’s what makes me smile.”

Episode 43 Cali’s ✯ House Nation Radio (Erick Morillo Tribute Mix)

It is with great sadness that I announce on this radio show the passing of Erick Morillo at the age of 49. For the next 96 minutes or so, Cali's ✯ HouseNation Radio would like to celebrate the life and music he created for us, the fans, during his nearly 30-year-long career.   There are a lot of rumors circulating about an alleged incident that led to his arrest before his death. Unfortunately, there is not much official information other than allegations and speculation. I don't know every detail of what happened because I wasn't there. All I see are people's opinions of what they believe happened.   I feel truly heartbroken for everyone who was involved in the incident. Life will never be the same again. Life is hard enough... I'm not choosing sides, I'm not defending any actions, I am, however, choosing to showcase the fantastic music produced by Erick Morillo. If you would like to embark on this musical journey with us, we are showcasing music from 1994 through 2018 - Nocturne

Julian Anthony Guest Mix on Cali’s ✯ House Nation Radio

Really excited to have my bro Julian Anthony on the Guest Mix today for my Birthday weekend!!! Julian Torres, known to his fans as Julian Anthony. Is a born and raised Long Beach, Ca native DJ and Producer from Mexican decent. Julian has been highly influenced by his parents taste in music since an early age.This music consisted of 80s hits, funk, disco freestyle music and rap/hip hop. From a young age Julian has been influenced by the likes of Dr. Dre , DJ Quick, Jam master Jay, daft punk, Nightcrawlers etc. Straight out of high school Julian discovered the underground electronic scene in Los Angeles, Ca in 2008 and quickly got into the LA DJ circuit building his name and establishing relationships with other up and coming artist. He soon then joined and help form the LA dj collective names Madhousedjs. Filled with tremendously talented artist from all around LA county.
